The Division of General Neurology treats all neurological disorders with an emphasis on cerebrovascular and neuroimmunological diseases. We offer comprehensive treatment in line with the biopsychosocial model, whose focus is on the human being.
In the inpatient area, the Comprehensive Stroke Center, or stroke unit, provides acute treatment of stroke. Multiple sclerosis, stroke, neuromuscular and neurooncology clinics round out our inpatient services.
We are involved in international research projects, some of which we direct, which allows us to offer state-of-the-art treatment and rapidly implement the latest developments. Promotion of junior researchers is very close to our hearts. We integrate students into our division and promote university careers. In research-led teaching, we convey relevant knowledge of neurological diseases. On the whole, we generate an environment in which clinical practice, education and research complement each other in a meaningful way.
